In the lecture, guest lecturer Dr. Kinga Golus introduced the latest trends and challenges in the teaching of philosophy and the process of training educators, focusing particularly on how philosophy is practically integrated into the curriculum and how to teach others to discuss philosophy. As an example, material from a philosophy textbook currently used in the curriculum were also analyzed, offering insight into how theory translates into practice.
This lecture was an excellent opportunity for educators, students, and anyone interested in philosophy to broaden their perspective on how philosophy can be taught in a modern and engaging way.
The lecture took place at the UL Academic Center’s House of Science, 3 Jelgavas iela, Seminar Room 725 (7th floor) on Wednesday, April 22, from 17.00 to 19.00.
Dr. Kinga Golus is the Head of Faculty Development and Erasmus Program Coordinator in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Bielefeld (Universität Bielefeld, Germany).
