In June, the Department of International Cooperation at the University of Latvia (UL) organized a meeting for Erasmus coordinators to review the work of the past academic year, share experiences, and honor the contributions of each faculties toward fostering more active Erasmus+ mobility and international cooperation.

The Faculty of Humanities at UL received recognition in two categories for the 2025–2026 academic year – “Leader in Outgoing Staff Mobility 2025/2026” and “Leader in Organizing BIP 2025/2026.” Jekaterina Čerņevska, the international cooperation coordinator at FH UL, accepted the certificates of recognition on behalf of the faculty.

These recognitions confirm the FH's active involvement in the development of international cooperation – both by promoting the mobility of faculty and staff and by organizing Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programs (BIPs). Such programs enable students and faculty to participate in short-term, international, and intensive study activities that combine in-person and virtual learning formats.

The diversity of student mobility opportunities is also particularly significant for the faculty. Students can take advantage of Erasmus+ study and internship mobility opportunities, participate in short-term mobility programs and BIP programs, thereby broadening their academic experience, improving their intercultural communication skills, and establishing contacts with partner universities in Europe and beyond. At the same time, the academic environment at the FH UL is enriched by exchange students from various countries in Europe and around the world who choose to gain their international study experience at our faculty.

The FH UL would like to thank all departments, faculty members, staff, and students who, through their work and involvement, contribute to the development of international cooperation, participate in the implementation of mobility programs, and help host international students and colleagues at the faculty.
