Professor Georgios Andreiomenos is the Dean of the School of Humanities and Cultural Studies at the University of the Peloponnese, as well as a professor in the Department of Philology. His academic work focuses on Modern Greek studies, literature, and cultural history.

"Singing the Revenge and Self-Justice: Aspects of the Vendetta (Gdikiomos) in Mani according to the Local Folk-Songs and Traditions"
In this lecture, the professor will focus on the manifestations of the tradition of revenge and self-justice in southern Greece – specifically in the Mani region of the Peloponnese. Special attention will be given to how the custom of revenge, or gdikiomos, reflected in local folk songs, oral traditions, and the region’s cultural memory.

"A Brief Outline of Modern Greek Literature, from the 10th Century to the Present Day"
The second lecture will provide an overview of the development of Modern Greek literature from the 10th century to the present day, highlighting the most significant historical periods, authors, and literary traditions.
Both lectures will be held in English, and each is planned as an approximately one-hour presentation followed by a discussion and Q&A session.
