Description
The project is implemented by a consortium of universities, state institutions, and non-governmental organizations from the Baltic States, including Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania) – the leading institution, the Office of the Equal Opportunities Ombudsperson (Lithuania), the Lithuanian Human Rights Center, the University of Latvia, the Center “Marta” (Latvia), the University of Tartu, and the Estonian feminist portal “Feministeerium.”
At the University of Latvia, the project is implemented by the Faculty of Humanities. The research is conducted by specialists in theology in cooperation with specialists in pedagogy from the Faculty of Education Sciences and Psychology.

The aim of the project is to reduce gender stereotypes (GS) and the systemic prevalence of gender-based violence (GBV) in Latvia and other Baltic States by developing and promoting an educational environment free of GS and GBV. The project focuses on generating and analyzing new interdisciplinary knowledge grounded in evidence, as well as fostering discussions about the causes of GS and GBV by examining the situation within Baltic educational communities.
